Why The Street of the Poets/La Calle de Los Poetas?
Our street is named after the Nicaraguan poet, Rubén Dario, recognised as one of the best writers of the Spanish language. An inspiration for many Latin American and Spanish writers and mentor of Nobel Price winners, Ruben Dario was generous and remained humble enough to support and guide younger writers during his short life time.
With our name we want to honor him and other writers and poets who lived on the same street.
We also have a small bookshop in the front room of the house where you can choose from a selection of international and national books (including a good selection of Rubén Darío) in english, spanish, dutch, german, norwegian and more.
