Búho Books is a second hand bookstore in the frontroom of Hostal Calle de los Poetas. We have had the dream of opening a bookstore in León for a long time, as bookstores is practically non-existent in León. And since León is, and has been, the home of so many poets and writers, a good bookstore is a must for this city.
We offer a good selection of books in english, spanish, dutch, german, french, norwegian and more. The selection of books is a bit random, since they are second hand, but we have everything from old classics and novels to history, travel books and children books. We also have a selection of national authors, such as Gioconda Belli, Sergio Ramirez, Ruben Dario and Rosario Aguilar, just to mention a few. We also have a good selection of new books about Nicaragua in english and spanish.
We also offer some unique souvenirs from Diseño Diacachimba, Nicaragua Infinita and Mujeres Ambientalistas.

New opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. Saturday 09am – 2pm. We are closed Sundays.
